PUBLIC SERVICE ANNOUNCEMENT- ALIANAIT ARTS FESTIVAL DATES AND APPLICATIONS

Alianait is excited to announce that the 18th annual Arts Festival will be taking place virtually on the weekend of November 20 and 21st, 2021.

Applications are open to all Northern applicants. We are looking forward to a diverse selection of music from both national and international applicants. 

Our applications are now open on our website at www.alianait.ca and click on Apply at the top of the page. Please provide a short video entry to assist us with the selection.

Deadline to apply is:

September 25, 2021

Northern applications are considered Northern residency, artists who live in Nunavut, NWT, Yukon, Nunavik, Nunatsiavut, or internationally, such as Greenland, Alaska, Scandinavia and Russia. And, authentically northern content: the artist’s musical performance style is culturally or linguistically linked to Inuit or indigenous tradition or culture.

The Alianait Arts Festival artists are selected through a selection committee who will meet after the applications have closed.
