The Inaugural Exhibition of Etchings from ‘KAJJIQ’  Grise Fiord Artist Society

Grise Fiord on Ellesmere Island is one of the most isolated communities in the world. In spite of this, or perhaps even because of this, a number of people there have been making remarkable art for many years. Much of it has been oil paintings of the dramatic local  landscape and way of life. This year they decided to try something new and set up a small fine art printmaking workshop to produce etchings. This exhibition is the result of their work, and they invite everybody to come and share it with them.
