Festival 2012 Submissions

The Alianait Arts Festival is now accepting submissions for Festival 2012 (June 29 to July 2).  

We receive several hundred submissions a year from artists around the world.  We have a volunteer committee that reviews submissions.  We also consider recommendations made by other festival producers, audience members and artists.  Programming decisions take into consideration the strength of an artist’s performance and material and the artist’s ability to provide interesting workshop ideas.  

How to Apply

If you would like to be considered for our Festival, please click here to complete our online application form and include links to your Electronic Press Kit (SonicBids, Reverbnation, Qaggiavuut, etc.) before:

• January 6, 2012 for Southern performers; and
• February 10, 2012 for Northern performers (Nunavut, NWT, Yukon, Nunavik, Nunatsiavut & Greenland)

If you are a northern performer and do not have an Electronic Press Kit, you may use the Northern Application Form.

Application Follow-Up

As the Festival is a non-profit organization run almost entirely by volunteers, we aim to keep administration costs to a minimum.   You will receive an email confirmation of receipt of your submission.  Bookings are normally completed by late February.  If you have not heard from us by then, you can assume that we were not able to include you in the line-up.
